From the parents of the groom...The wedding pictures were awesome.  What a really nice surprise!  You folks are the best and I can't tell you how much I liked working with you and Leith.  Many thanks for realizing what an important time this is in a family's life and doing all you can to ease tension, and make things relaxed and fun.  You are simply the best! Our friends have continued to mention how much they enjoyed the venue of Khimaira Farms.  I like your way of doing business.  You do what you say you will do, but you give a baker's dozen . . . more than we bargained for.  It is just so special and so rare. Our deepest appreciation...

From a guest...I absolutely LOVED everything about your farm!!  I must admit to being a little hesitant to support my best friend's decision to get married at a 'goat farm'...until I visited your farm and met you and your family!  Everything was so absolutely glorious.  I hope (my friend) left you a very generous tip!  I couldn't imagine how anything could have been any better.  You more than exceeded our expectations and hopes - you were awesome!  I hope people support your 'plant a tree' program as that is so special and such a super idea.  I know (my friend) asked for guests to donate to some worthy causes instead of giving them gifts.  I wish they would have asked folks to donate to your operation!  I can't imagine a more worthy cause!  To see how you practice sustainable and responsible farming as well as operation of your venue for events.  'Act locally' is exactly what we should do...and donating to someone who practices whey they preach  to help sustain the operation is the best gift to a worthy cause that I can imagine.  Please find my donation enclosed, and I will be shopping at your online store!  If feels so good to know I am helping a small farm and an environmentally supportive business (loved those recycling reminders everywhere!) as well as the place where my best friend pledged her life and heart to the love of her life.  I wish you the best of success...you deserve it!  I will be back when I find the 'right man'!!

From Photographer Aaron Spicer's blog: This past weekend ... I ended up in Luray, VA to celebrate with Martha and Daryl. The above shot (see photo top of page here) is one that I really like of Martha and Daryl. Their wedding took place at the Khimaira Farm in Luray. The farm is just that, fifty seven acres of pure rural goodness. Linda and Leith converted one of their barns into an event venue a couple years ago when their daughter decided to get married on the property. They’ve done a wonderful job of making you forget that you are actually down on the farm, and could host anything from a black tie affair to a hoe down. The ceremony took place a few yards from the barn in a cleared pasture looking out at the mountains in the distance. That mountain range saved us quite a bit of trouble, as it acted as a natural barrier between us and the rain that was trying pretty hard to make it to the farm.

Clegg  Tuesday February 26, 2008 Beautiful Locale for Weddings & Ceremonies: It is not often that we write a special entry to promote a business or person, but sometimes, something comes along that requires mentioning.  When a couple is confronted with all the planning and execution of the dream wedding, we know this can take its toll.  So when something comes across my path as a wedding minister, which is exceptional, I like to pass it on to my friends.
